San Diego
Since I'm off to San Diego soon, might take an evening or morning walk.
Squeak/Smalltalk/Pharo all on Android
Maybe time to come back to Squeak (in the form of Pharo) to run on Android. I've had a dream since pre-Palm days to have a portable Smalltalk system. Well, portable any programming system but Smalltalk always struck me as the right solution for a portable system. Yes, of course, Alan Kay was ahead on this.

Databases
I am always really turned on by databases until the exact instant when I actually have to work with them. None the less..
RethinkDB looks quite interesting.
I think one of my big interests has always been distribution and global locking protocols, and, well, that's not what most databases do very well. Here, take this spiked stick and start beating yourself. Feel good? Then you'll love doing distributed databases...
